[North Africa]
Mauludur-Rasool - The Birth of the Messenger [Sallal Laahu 'Alaiehi Wa Sallam][Bahasa Malaysia ]
To celebrate the Eid Meelaad un Nabee is to celebrate Islaam.
The Holy Prophet
MUHAMMAD
[Sallal Laahu 'Alaiehi Wa Sallam]
Is the symbol of Islaam His arrival heralded a new era,
“ERA OF LIGHT AND HOPE”
Rabi'ul-Awwal is the most significant month in the Islaamic history, because humanity has been blessed in this month by the birth of the Holy Prophet Muhammad [[Sallal Laahu 'Alaiehi Wa Sallam]
who has lit the light of Islaam till the Day of Judgment.
Muhammad [Sallal Laahu 'Alaiehi Wa Sallam]
is a vital link between
Allaah Subhanhu Wa Ta'alaa
and Love of the Prophet Muhammad
[Sallal Laahu 'Alaiehi Wa Sallam]
is an essential part of one's Ieemaan.
The purpose of the Meelaad Shareef is to mention the pure states of the
Holy Prophet MUHAMMAD[Sallal Laahu 'Alaiehi Wa Sallam] so that we can be inclined towards Him because love for the Holy Prophet is the sign of complete faith [Saheeh Bukhari].
Similarly the Meelaad un Nabee [Sallal Laahu 'Alaiehi Wa Sallam] celebration in reality is to remember that great day when this world received this Supreme Blessing.
We must pray that we are gifted with His special favors [Nazre karam]and receive the intercession on the Day of Judgment of the Beloved of Allaah Almighty, our Prophet Muhammad Mustafaa [Sallal Laahu 'Alaiehi Wa Sallam]
The Holy Prophet MUHAMMAD [Sallal Laahu 'Alaiehi Wa Sallam] declares thus:"That is, none of you is Mo’min [believer] unless I am dearer to him than his parents, his children and all other persons." [Sahee ul Bukhari].
It is evident from "Hadees-e-Qudsi" that Almighty Allaah states:
"If Muhammad [Sallal Laahu 'Alaiehi Wa Sallam] and his Ummah were not created, then I would never have created the Heaven, Hell, the moon, the sun, the skies and earth, day and night, humans and Jinns, and Prophets and Angels.
" If the Prophet was not created, then nothing in the universe would have come into existence. Not only this, but it is the word of Allaah Almighty that,
"O Beloved! If I had not created you, I would never have disclosed Myself."
The Prophet Muhammad [Sallal laahu 'alaiehi wa sallam] has stated,
“The first creation of Allaah was my Noor." His Noor was created when there was nothing.”
The Noor of the Holy Prophet Muhammad
[Sallal laahu alaiehi wa sallam] was created before everything.
The Prophets Noor
was kept 4 000 years in a high pedestal close to His Creator.
When the Almighty Allaah Kareem intended to create, then He separated this
light into four portions.
With the first, He created the "Qalam" or Divine Pen, with the second,
He created "Lau- hay -Mahfooz" or The Protected Tablet, with the third
portion He created the "Arsh" or Throne and with the fourth portion
He created the rest of creation.
When Allaah Almighty Al Kareem desired to send His viceroy to earth, He created the mould of Prophet Aadam [Alaiehis salaam] and placed on his forehead and the back [spine] the Noor of Rasool Allaah.
The Prophet [Sallal Laahu 'Alaiehi Wa Sallam] himself said:
"I was a Nabee when Nabee Aadam [alaiehis salaam] was between water and clay.”
“Travelling from forehead to forehead, this Noor was embedded on the forehead of Hazrat Abdullah [radi Allaahu anhu], the father of Rasoolullah this Noor then travelled into the womb of Sayyidinah Bibi Aaminah [radi Allaahu anha].
The very first Meelaad that took place,It is mentioned in the Holy Qur’aan,
“And remember when Allaah Kareem took a covenant from the Prophets; "If I give you the Book and knowledge and the [promised]Noble Messenger Prophet Muhammed [Sallal Laahu 'Alaiehi Wa Sallam] comes to you, confirming the Books you possess, you shall positively, definitely believe in him and you shall positively, definitely help him";
He said, "Do you agree, and accept My binding responsibility in this matter?" They all answered, "We agree"; He said, "Then bear witness amongst yourselves, and I Myself am a witness with you."
The mention of Holy Prophet Muhammad
[Sallal Laahu 'Alaiehi Wa Sallam]
is present
in all the heavenly books including the Vedas, the Torah, the Bible and of course the Holy Quraan. It is no wonder that the educated priests and rabbis of Arabia were all awaiting the blessed arrival. We are familiar with the famous narration of how the Holy Prophet Muhammad [Sallal Laahu 'Alaiehi Wa Sallam] was taken to Hazrat Waraqah bin Nawfil [may Allaah be pleased with him] by Hazrat Khadija
[may Allaah be pleased with her].Hazrat Waraqah wrote 13 lines of Arabic poetry in honor of the Holy Prophet
[Sallal Laahu 'Alaiehi Wa Sallam]. Two couplets are translated and reproduced here
The entire world will be illuminated by Your Light
The Light of Your Guidance will spread in every direction
Creation will receive peace through your waseela[intersession]
No one will be able to cut off Your Proof.
Allaah Kareem is the Creator, Cherisher and Sustainer of the holy Prophet Hazrat Muhammad
[Sallal Laahu 'Alaiehi Wa Sallam] and sends peace and salutations to him.)
The Shab e Wilaadat
Of our Beloved Prophet Muhammad
[[Sallal Laahu 'Alaiehi Wa Sallam]
He was born, on the morning of the 12th of Rabi-ul-Awwal, the third month of the Islaamic year.
His birth took place in Makkah on a Monday in the house known as Dar Al-Maulood, in the year of the Elephant, which corresponds to 571 C.E.
Allaah Subhanhu Wa Ta'alaa...says in the Quraan…….
I take an oath by this city of Makkah, (Although I am independent and have no need to swear an oath). I swear by this city (not because the Kaabah, Hateem, Hajr e Aswad, and the Safaa Marwa are here. But because ‘O Beloved your blessed feet touch the soil of the city”
On the birth of Nabee Muhammad Sallal Laahu 'Alaiehi Wa Sallam] the entire universe became enlightened, the pillars of infidelity began to crumble, the flame of Persia was extinguished, the Arcade of Choroes began to tremble and fourteen of it's blocks fell over, sweet winds of faith began to blow, the faith of humanity began to glitter, the flag of Tauheed was hoisted, the rays of Noor from the light of guidance began to spread and many who had once worshiped 360 idols now turned to the worship of One Almighty Allaah.
Saiyyidah Aaminah
[Radiyal- Laahu ‘Anha]
states that in the nine months of pregnancy, she felt neither any burden nor did she feel symptoms that are felt by any other pregnant women. She also states that during every month, she received glad tidings from various Prophets of Allaah Kareem. states that as time for the birth of Prophet Muhammad - [Sallal Laahu 'Alaiehi Wa Sallam] arrived, the night passed and the day arrived. It was the during the early hours of a bright Monday morning that she saw a group of people descend from the skies. They had with them three white flags. They placed one flag in the courtyard of her home, one on the roof of the Holy Kaaba, and one on Masjidul Aqsa. She states that a few women then came to her. She questioned them about their identity. Then, one from among them answered that she was Hazrat Bibi Maryam, [alaiehis salaam]. the mother of Hazrat 'Ieesa [alaihis salaam]. The second said that she was Bibi Aasiya, the wife of Firaun and the third said that she was Hazrat Bibi Hajrah, the wife of Hazrat Ibraaheem [alaihis salaam]. All the rest of the women were maidens [Hoors] of Jannat. They said that they had come to serve her.
After these events, the light of the worlds, The Prophet Muhammad
[Sallal Laahu 'Alaiehi Wa Sallam] was born. The Quraan announced:
"Verily came towards you from Allaah a Light and a Bright Book."
Allaah (Almighty and Glorious is He) says in the QURAAN Soorah Aaraf
It is those who believe in Prophet Muhammad
[Sallal Laahu 'Alaiehi Wa Sallam] honour him (respect and revere), help him and follow the light, which is sent down with him. It is they who will achieve success.
Perfect belief in the Messenger of Allaah Kareem
Loving and honoring him
Assisting the way of life (deen) brought by him,
By sacrificing ones wealth and life;
This is the Divine Guarantee of success
Allaah Subhanhu Wa Ta'alaa...says in the Quraan…….
I take an oath by this city of Makkah, (Although I am independent and have no need to swear an oath). I swear by this city (not because the Kaabah, Hateem, Hajr e Aswad, and the Safaa Marwa are here. But because ‘O Beloved your blessed feet touch the soil of the city”After these events, the light of the worlds, The Prophet Muhammad [Sallal Laahu 'Alaiehi Wa Sallam] was born. The Quraan announced:
"Verily came towards you from Allaah a Light and a Bright Book."
In the Holy Quran, Allaah Kareem The Most Exalted has described the Holy Prophet’s [Sallal Laahu 'Alaiehi Wa Sallam] blessed physical appearance and character, beautiful external and internal attributes.
Allaah Almighty refers to the Holy Prophet [Sallal Laahu 'Alaiehi Wa Sallam] as Tahaa and Yaseen in some places and has addressed the Holy Prophet [Sallal Laahu 'Alaiehi Wa Sallam] as Sirajum Munira in other places.
The Creator Himself praises His Beloved Messenger [Sallal Laahu 'Alaiehi Wa Sallam] in the Quraan............
Our love for the Prophet Muhammad [Sallal Laahu 'Alaiehi Wa Sallam]
is because he is the Messenger of Allaah [Subhanhu Wa Ta'alaa] he is (Rasool ul laah) and the Beloved of Allaah (Habeeb ul laah).
Allaah Kareem loves him and orders us to love him.
Love for the Holy Prophet Muhammad [Sallal Laahu 'Alaiehi Wa Sallam] in reality, is love for Allaah Kareem. Therefore the Holy Prophet [Sallal Laahu 'Alaiehi Wa Sallam] has stated:
“Man ahabbani faqad Ahaballah”
He who loves me has loved Allaah Kareem [Subhanhu Wa Ta'alaa]
In the same manner, remember the obedience of the Holy Prophet Muhammad [Sallal Laahu 'Alaiehi Wa Sallam] is in reality the obedience of Allaah Kareem.
I swear by the glorious morning light and by the still night. Your Allaah Kareem has not forsaken you nor is he displeased.
The revelations had ceased for a while and the disbeliever's taunted the Holy Prophet [Sallal Laahu 'Alaiehi Wa Sallam] that his Allaah Kareem had forsaken him. He knew that Allaah will not forsake him but his blessed heart felt hurt due to the taunts. Allaah Kareem could not bear to see His beloved grieved and He sent down this verse. Shah Abd al-Aziz Of Delhi (Rahmatullahi alaihi) expounds the meaning beautifully in his Qur’aanic commentary called Tafseer Azizia. Allaah Kareem says,
"I swear by your beautiful face which glows like the morning light My beloved and I swear by your Beautiful locks of hair which, when it covers your radiant face is as if night has fallen that I have not forsaken you".
Allaah Kareem swears by His beloved's city, face, hair, lineage and birth to expound the fact that loving Rasool al laah and everything attached to him is Almighty Allaah’s practice or Sunnat.
"And we sent not you but mercy for all the world."
(Kanzul Ieemaan Holy Quraan, Soorah
Al Anmbia ]
"And We have exalted for you your remembrance"
[Soorah Al-InShirah]
"Undoubtedly, you have the best in the following of the Messenger,"

[Quraan Soorah]

Many a time
I(Almighty) have seen, you turn your face towards sky. I will make you turn towards a qiblah (direction) that will please you"
[Quraan Soorah]
In the Quraan Allaah [Subhaanahu - Wa - Ta'aala]
Commands the believers to send Durood and Salaam to His Habib Muhammad Mustafaa [Sallal Laahu 'Alaiehi Wa Sallam] as stated in this verse "Undoubtedly, Allaah and His Angels send blessings on the Prophet the communicator of unseen news,
O' you who believe! send upon him blessings and salute him fully well in abundance"
[Soorah Al-Ahzab]
These are the few verses from the Quraan where Allaah Ta'aala honors and praises His most beautiful creation Muhammad [Sallal Laahu 'Alaiehi Wa Sallam] The Quraan is full of such Praises and honors for Rasool-ul-laah [Sallal Laahu 'Alaiehi Wa Sallam]
There are several hadees where Rasool-ul-laah [Sallal Laahu 'Alaiehi Wa Sallam] himself ordered Hasan bin Thabit (radi allaah anho) to read poetry in his praise.
After the blessed birth of Prophet Sayyid Abdul Muttalib celebrated by taking the
Holy Prophet [Sallal Laahu 'Alaiehi Wa Sallam] inside the Kabah Shareef. He then wrote lines of
poetry on this occasion and thanked Allaah Almighty for this great gift. These lines of poetry are still available. This is called the first Meelaad on earth.
The Holy Prophet Muhammad [Sallal Laahu 'Alaiehi Wa Sallam] himself told of the day of His Blessed Birth.
“I am the answer to the prayer of Hazrat Ibraheem
[Alaiehis-Salaam]
I am the good news of Hazrat
Ieesaa [Alaiehis-Salaam] . I am the dream of my mother that she saw with her open eyes.
The Prophet Muhammad
[Sallal Laahu 'Alaiehi Wa Sallam] himself stated his own birth from very beginning He says:
"I had been transferred, continuously, from purified offspring to purified wombs.
[Tafseer Ruhul biyan,]
The Holy Prophet Muhammad [Sallal Laahu 'Alaiehi Wa Sallam] himself celebrated his own Meelaad.
There are many other narrations which narrate that the Prophet of Allaah Almighty celebrated his own Meelaad by having fast.
"I took birth and the Quraan was revealed upon me in this day."
Allaah did confer a great favor on the believers when He sent among them an Apostle from among themselves
[Quran Soorah]
"Raise not your voice above the voice of the Prophet [[Sallal laahu 'alaiehi wasalam] Lest your labors should come to nothing without your knowledge"
[Quraan Soorah]
"Whatever the Apostle gives you accept it; and whatever he forbids you, refrain from. And fear Allaah, for Allaah is strict in punisment"
Mehfil-e-Meelaad was always there, that is to spread the teachings of Quraan and Sunnah. In the days of the Prophet[Sallal Laahu 'Alaiehi Wa Sallam] and Sahaba eKiraam [Radi-allaah-anhum] every day was like celebrating Mehfil-e-Meelaad Quraan and sunnah gathering [mehfils].
“Surely there is much wisdom in Poetry”
